Opooman reelected as KMA Presiding Member

The Assembly Member for the Ridge Nhyiaeso Electoral Area, Mr Abraham Boadi a.k.a. Opooman has today March 27, 2018 been reelected as the Presiding Member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).

Fifty-nine [59] Assembly members including government appointees and Municipal Chief Executive took part in an election organized by the assembly.

The vociferous politician needed two-thirds of the total membership to emerge victoriously.

He obtained 55 YES with 4 No votes to retain his position.

Opooman was subsequently sworn into office by a Kumasi High Court judge, Justice Nicholas Abodakpi after getting the two-thirds of the membership.

He urged his colleagues at the assembly to also work hard to ensure the development of their electoral areas
